left: childhood toys still life.  i chose to paint a rubik’s cube and kendama for this project not only because they are awesome toys, but because they also embody my playful, puzzle-solving spirit.
middle: extents & degrees. for this project, i was limited to using a grid with uniform color swatches. i decided to use a primary triad, which was inspired by the color scheme of pieter de hooch's "the bedroom" painting.
right: covering style. this is a book cover for a fictional book highlighting the works of zaha hadid. on the cover, i painted a chair she designed for her ultrastellar furniture collection, and both of the typefaces i used for lettering were designed by her.
medium: still life- acrylic paint on canvas. extents & degrees and covering style- acrylic paint on museum board.
dimensions: still life-12" x 18", extents & degrees-16" x 10", covering style- 16" x 10".
